I wrote this Poem right after September 11, 2001, when the Twin Towers were hit by planes by terrorists, killing thousands of people. May God Bless America!
OUR GREAT NATION
The skyline is not hindered now,
The ashes start to cool,
They say our lives must now go on
our leaders now will rule.
We suffer heartache and loss of life,
landmarks, and loved one's dear.
How can anyone be so cruel
to attack us without fear?
They took our buildings and our planes,
caused lots of grief and strife,
but they cannot take the heart of us,
for America is our life.
Our Country is still grand and whole.
She will keep going strong.
We will prevail, stand tall, and proud.
America will right this wrong.
We will move on, rebuild our lives,
With God as our foundation.
God watch over and protect us all
and bless America, our Great Nation.
