MERRY CHRISTMAS MAMMA!

A Poem I wrote for Mamma the first year we celebrated Christmas without her. I am a bit slow getting some of my stuff posted cause My computer crashed and I am just now finding some of the stuff I wrote, so this one is way out of order!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, MAMMA!

IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE ‘MOST A YEAR HAS GONE
WE MISS YOU MORE EACH DAY.
YOUR TENDER TOUCH, YOUR SMILE, A TEAR,
THE JOY YOU SENT OUR WAY.

GONE FROM HERE, YOUR EARTHLY HOME,
YOU’RE STILL WITH US NIGHT AND DAY.
BUT NEVER, NOT EVER, FORGOTTEN -
YOU KEEP OUR FEARS AND SORROWS AWAY.

NOW ON THIS CHRISMAS HOLIDAY,
WHILE THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE GOES ON,
WE REMEMBER YOU AND TREASURE,
ALL THE CHRISTMAS’S PAST GONE.

BUT DON’T FORGET WE LOVE YOU MAMMA,
AND KNOW THAT YOU’RE FINALLY HOME.
JUST KNOW WE LOVE YOU AS MUCH AS EVER
WITH JESUS WE’RE NEVER ALONE.

WE KNOW YOU’RE WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER,
THAT HE EMBRACES YOU CLOSE AND DEAR,
SO AS WE REJOICE AND CELEBRATE HIS BIRTH ON EARTH,
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS WITH JESUS THIS YEAR.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, MAMMA, WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!

December 2006

In Memory of Mamma 1933-2006

Today is the 5 year anniversary of my mamma's move to her heavenly home. She is rejoicing in heaven with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I still miss her and love her very much. Here is a poem I wrote when she died that was read at her funeral.

OUR PRECIOUS MAMMA

You lay your head down, for to sleep,
as you did each night.
The Angels saw you sleeping there,
the pain that caused you strife.
They smiled down upon your face
and took you to God’s home,
To celebrate your newfound life
with God at His golden throne.

We love you so, so, very much
Our hearts are aching now,
but Jesus in his loving grace
rejoices with you now.

You were a precious mom and wife,
Who gave your very all.
Though we were far from perfect
You thought we were your all.

You loved us all so much as well
More than anything you had,
Your husband, kids and grandkids too,
Especially baby Jazz.

Now we go on without you Mom,
Our loss, Our Father’s gain
Sleep well Dear Mamma
Now in Peace, No more torment,
No more pain.

WE LOVE YOU
MAMMA!!!

Ranger Game

I surprised Mike with a get a way weekend for just the 2 of us. He had no clue where we were going or what we were doing. On October 15, 2010, we went to see Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable guy at the American Airlines Center in Ft. Worth, then Saturday afternoon, October 16th, we went to the Texas Rangers Playoff game vs the NY Yankees (we won). Had awesome seats and saw a wonderul game! Then on sunday, we shopped the grapevine mall in Grapevine and just slowly worked our way home. It was a perfect weekend!!

Random Photo's of my awesome Grandsons! 12/10

Jazz & Braxdyn - November thru December 2010

Jazz Halloween 2010

Jazz's was a football player and an action figure! Couldn't decide what he wanted to be!

Braxdyn's First Halloween 10/2010

Cutest Bat I ever did see!!

Braxdyn stands alone!

Braxdyn now pulls up and walks around the furniture all alone!

Braxdyn Crawls!

January 2nd, Braxdyn officially started crawling and now! OMG! Tammy just sent a video of Braxdyn! He started crawling little over a week ago and now he crawls to the couch and pulls up and stands there. Isn't 6 1/2 months kinda early for that?? I keep saying he'll walk at 9 months but it may be sooner than that! He's our superbaby!

Cologne

another "Jazz"ism this morning! While we are getting ready for church, he always has to put on cologne "like his papaw", so after he had it on, he came in for me to "smell" him. He said do I smell like a horse? I said, NO, you smell good! And he said, well, I meant like a clean horse with cologne! LOL. I told him I had never smelled a clean horse, much less a clean horse with cologne!! Funny child!

Christmas & Jesus

Watching a Christmas movie in January I know, I know) with Jazz and they are talking about how Christmas is about lighting the tree and giving of presents, etc and Jazz says very loudly, "No, it's not! It's all about JESUS"! That's MY grandson!!!

Chicken & Dumplin's

Jazz asked for chick & dumplings last night. While he was Eating them he said, "MiMi, you need to teach my momma how to make this". I told him his momma knew how, that she made them all the time, & he said "yeah, but she puts CHICKEN in them"! Lol. I said I put chicken in mine & he said, yeah but she puts huge chunks (I shred mine) in hers. So I guess he does not like his dumplins with "chunks" of chicken!
