My First paid entry 5k run was this past weekend, June 19, 2010. I did the run in 38:04. Slow as usual, but I had not been running more than 2 miles a week the past 3 weeks, so I was glad to just finish!
It was the Cattlewomens 5k run and they did a fantastic job of organizing and getting it together.
The t-shirts were nice, the food and snacks great and the workers super! There were about 50 runners total.
The only thing I was disappointed in were the age categories. I was hoping for an over 50 category, so I might finish with a cowbell!! LOL.
I am just proud of myself for being able to still be so active. So far, 50 is still fabulous!!
