JANET

OK, Three years had passed since our first born child and were celebrating Tammy's third birthday. We had moved to Coleman, Texas now, back to be near our family.

We had everyone over for her little birthday party and it was close to midnight when everyone left. I was 2 weeks overdue (they did not induce back then) and had been up all night the night before with Tammy. Something had bitten her and she was itching all over and could not sleep, then had to get her party all set up, etc, etc. so I was exhausted.

After everyone left, I told Mike I was gonna go take a quick shower because I thought we might be going to the hospital to have our baby. He believed me this time, cause he knew how fast Tammy had come. After I had showered and we got stuff together we called his mom and dad who lived just down the road and asked if they would come get Tammy. They did and we went to town to have a baby.

We did not know the sex of either of our children because we did not have the techonology then to determine the sex, so we got to be surprised when they were both born.

We got to the hospital and walked in and went to the second floor, where the babies are delivered and the nurse asked me if I was there to have a baby. I almost said, No, I just waddle like this all the time. I was tired and irratable and did not feel like her jokes. LOL.

Anyway, they admitted me, checked me and said I was at a 6. The doctor came in and broke my water a bit later. Then the wait began.

I have always said, Tammy was 2 weeks early, Janet was 2 weeks late and they have been that way ever since, well, Janet proved it that night. She was also lots later to be born. They say the second child usually comes quicker, but while Tammy took 2 hours, Janet stretched it out to 8. Which still is not bad for labor, but sure seemed like forever. Guess lots of it was because I was so tired already.

Janet was born at 8:03 A.M. on November 30, 1983, 3 years and one day after her sister was born.

Her dad got the privelage of taking her out of the delivery room to see her sister and her grandparents for the first time and they just happened to be wheeling me out to go to my room, so I got to see everyone too.

And that is how our second little blonde haired angel was born! Love ya bunches sweet Janet Michelle Curry Jones!
